Our firm is looking for an experienced Associate Attorney to join our team and help us grow. As an Associate Attorney at Knauf Santos Law, PLLC, you will actively handle all aspects of a client’s case from intake to completion, including PNC consults, communicating with parties, drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, preparing for, and attending hearings, mediations, and trials.

 

Our ideal candidate has a minimum of two (2) years experience as an attorney in Family Law in King and/or Snohomish counties and have a firm grasp on how to handle all aspects of a family law matter from start to finish knowledge of the state and local court rules. We are looking for someone with a solid work ethic, impeccable attendance and punctuality, and the ability to work both independently and as a team. You should have a positive attitude and the ability to set priorities and work under pressure.

Daily duties and responsibilities

  • Establish positive and collaborative working relationships with clients, colleagues, and the courts.
  • Effectively apply legal solutions to clients’ issues.
  • Research case law, draft correspondence, and draft/file pleadings.
  • Effectively represent clients at hearings, depositions, and trials.
  • Consult with and retain new clients.
  • Work with support staff to accurately calendar all hearings, filing deadlines and other key dates.
  • Take ownership of assignments an execute them timely.
  • Candidates must successfully pass a background check and aptitude and fit testing.

    Requirements and Qualifications

    • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
    • License to practice law in Washington state.
    • Candidates must be a current, active member of the Washington State Bar Association in good standing.
    • Must successfully pass a background check and aptitude and fit testing.
    • Preferably 2+ years experience.
    • Excellent and clear written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong research skills with attention to detail.
    • Experience with Family Soft/Support Calc, Adobe Acrobat and MS Office, including Excel.
    • Experience in court, including motions on the Family Law Motions Calendar and before assigned Judges.

    Job Type and Compensation

    • This position is full-tIme.
    • The salary range is: $60,000.00 – $200,000.00 per year.

    Compensation is production-based. The firm has nearly a 100% collection rate.
