About Erica Knauf Santos

Erica Knauf Santos is a Seattle family law attorney and the founder of Knauf Santos Law, PLLC. She built the firm from a solo practice into the collaborative boutique family law practice it is today.

Erica earned undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Primate Behavior from Central Washington University, with a minor in Anthropology, before receiving her J.D. from Seattle University. Her background in psychology continues to influence the way she approaches family law: with close attention to the people, family dynamics, and practical realities behind the legal issues.

In addition to her private practice, Erica serves as a Pro Tem Commissioner for King County Superior Court, works as a family law mediator, and tutors participants in the Washington State Bar Association Rule 6 Law Clerk Program. As managing attorney at KSL, she oversees case strategy and the broader direction of the firm.

Outside the law, Erica has served on the founding board of Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest, organized Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots College Summit, volunteered with Pasado’s Safe Haven, and participated in animal rescue work following Hurricane Katrina. She lives in the Seattle area with her husband and their four children.

One Firm. One Team.

Family law is collaborative work.

KSL attorneys, paralegals, legal professionals, and client-care staff work together so that clients have both strategic legal guidance and practical support throughout their matter.
